Malaysia Petrol Gone Up by 40%

This evening, our PM announced the increase of premium unleaded petrol (ULG 97) by 78 cents. The increase will take effect from mid night tonight. Thus come tomorrow, motorists will need to pay RM2.70 per litre instead of RM1.92 per litre. Increase of 40%.

Drove of motorists can be seen forming long queue at most petrol stations in the country. This is by far the highest increase of petrol price one can recall.
